The Green Initiatives of Black Dog Ranch, Beresini Vineyards, and Beresini Winery are ongoing.  We are trying to do everything we can to help the environment and eliminate waste.

• We are installing solar near the vineyard
• We use 100% recycled shipping boxes. These boxes can be reused and recycled again.
• We are trying to use the lightest glass bottles we can find. For example, the 2021 Chardonnay, usually in a Burgundian bottle, was bottled in a Boudreaux bottle.  Using a Burgundian bottle for Chardonnay is a bit of an experiment and outside of tradition, but we hope that customers will appreciate the lighter weight and shipping benefits.  The bottles can also be recycled and used as flower vases, garden water bottles, and water containers at dinner parties.  Save those corks – children can make pictures and trivets.
• The Beresini Winery Tasting Room is in a recycled oak wine tank from 1885 – now, that is real recycling.
• Drought Resistant perennials are being planted around the tasting room. Plants such as Salvia and lavender require little water and provide a beautiful landscape.
• We also purchased used furniture to furnish our tasting room and tasting room patio. The older furniture provides a rustic, homey feel to the winery; and these recycled goods were saved rather than wasted.

Black Dog Ranch, Beresini Vineyards, and Beresini Winery are trying to make everything we touch recyclable.

We will continue to work on being green.  As it has been said, “Do one thing every day to help the environment.”
