The 2016 Beresini Pinot Noir Carneros, Napa Valley was released in early 2019.
The 2016 Beresini Pinot Noir is made from 4 clones of Pinot Noir – the Swann clone, the 777 clone, the Calera clone and the Pommard clone. The 2016 grapes were harvested on September 10, 2016 and then cold soaked on skins for 5 days. At harvest, the brix (sugars) were at 26.1. The grapes were then fermented for 16 days. After press the wine was aged a little over 11 months in French Oak Barrels and 241 cases of the 2013 Pinot Noir were bottled on August 25, 2017.
The Beresini 2016 Pinot Noir shows classic Carneros Pinot notes of red cherry, earth and cranberry. This wine is medium weight with crisp acidity and bright red fruits followed by earthy/mint tones.
Corleone Beresini and her pup, Molly, love the nose of the 2016!
